Day 33 - New York City April 13, 2002

I spent the second day in New York a little further east than my first day. I started off walking through Central Park, where I met Trond Bobron, former designer of the world champion catamaran, and currently writing a book on the pre-history of Europe. After parting ways, I walked over to the United Nations. The security guards weren't very happy when I started taking picutres of the US Mission to the UN, but otherwise things went smoothly. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take the tour.

But, I managed to meet up with Dai Pham and eat the best turkey burger I've ever had at the Sidewalk Restaurant (6th st & Ave A). Afterward we went to listen to one of her favorite bands, Paprika, and I had a chance to briefly meetin her SO. Then it was off to Robyn's place where I met her very cool friend Tree, and (after itching to excercise my fingers on her keyboard) , and we went to eat at Dojo. Really good, cheap food. I had Yakisaba noodles with chicken.

Finally, I took the subway for the first time to get back home.
