Day 9 - Hoover Dam, Drive to the Grand Canyon March 20, 2002

I left Las Vegas bright and early and drove out to Lake Mead to see the Hoover Dam. It's quite an extraordinary feat of engineering. If you ever have a chance to visit, be sure to check out the dedication. It's one of the best pieces of visual design I've seen in a while.

I made it to the Grand Canyon just ahead of sunset. After pitching my tent, I biked out to the rim and watch the sun set.
